With Dragon Quest IV: Delocalized, the Translation Quest team has provided a brand new, meticulously crafted English translation of Dragon Quest IV. It is based on a thought-for-thought equivalency, rather than a one-to-one literal rendering of the Japanese. Every effort was made to produce natural, tonally appropriate English. This translation does not indulge in the kinds of needless liberties to be found in the official localizations. The aim is to provide an accurate equivalent of what the Japanese audience experienced.
